Logistics Manager Resume Example for Senior Professionals (2026)

By Max Mustermann · Updated May 2026

How to write a Logistics Manager CV that demonstrates end-to-end operational excellence, cost optimisation, and the leadership capability that separates warehouse supervisors from logistics directors.

Logistics Manager: operations meets strategy

Senior Logistics Managers earning €100k-140k must demonstrate more than warehouse and transport management. They need to show network thinking: how individual logistics decisions affect total supply chain cost, customer service levels, and working capital. The most competitive CVs bridge operational detail with strategic impact.

Key insight: The two numbers that matter most on a Logistics Manager CV: cost per unit shipped (or cost as % of revenue) and service level (OTIF). If both are visible and show improvement, you pass the first screening.

CV mistakes Logistics Managers make

1. No scale metrics

Warehouse count, headcount, daily order lines, SKU count, budget — state your scale immediately. “6 warehouses, 180 FTEs, 12,000 daily orders” tells the recruiter your capability level.

2. Missing cost performance

Logistics is a cost centre. Show cost management: cost per unit, cost as % of revenue, budget performance. “22% cost reduction” proves commercial management capability.

3. No service level metrics

OTIF, on-time delivery, pick accuracy, damage rate — these are the core metrics of logistics performance. Include them with the improvement you achieved.

4. Warehouse-only focus

Senior logistics roles span warehousing, transport, and distribution. If your CV only mentions warehouse operations, you look limited. Include transport management, 3PL relationships, and network optimisation.

5. No technology

WMS, TMS, route optimisation, barcode/RFID, automation — modern logistics requires technology competence. Include systems you have implemented or managed.
